Performing Arts day 1

Hi Mr, Rea! this is my first lesson in performing arts, oh dear….its been so long since i’ve touched an instrument.

I only know a bit of violin but….my knowledge on them has gotten rusty over the time.

I enjoy music because its fascinating, how music isn’t just sounds and it can tell a whole story with just some notes or strings. how much effort and passion is put into each melody, how everything fits so well, and how everything just blends together.

For me, music is something that is important, it can change the mood, the scene and the story.

I used to learn piano before my piano teacher decided to move the Auckland and never came back so, I hope that this term I can get more used to using a few instruments and try out new instruments that I haven’t used before.

Thanks for reading this 🙂

  1. Catherine!

I love how eloquently you put this phrase: “For me, music is something that is important, it can change the mood, the scene and the story.”

I can already tell that you are going to be awesome to teach so I TOTALLY look forward to teaching you. Don’t worry about being rusty, we will explore piano, guitar and drums this term. You will get to try a bunch of things for the first time which is exciting!
