So far this term ( week 1 ) we have been learning to convert fractions into decimals, percentages and how to multiply decimals with and without renaming. At first, I found the strategy hard to get used to for multiplying with renaming. But I feel that with more practice i’ll be able to get the hang of it and eventually be able to do more complex equations and problems.
My most favourite part about learning about the decimals was definitely multiplying the decimals without renaming because it was the one that I think I got used to pretty well and pretty quickly. The part that I didn’t enjoy the most was learning how to convert fractions into decimals. I just had some trouble with doing the columns. But I think with some more practice i’ll eventually get more used to it. I Hope that the next few chapters of the new textbook will challenge me, but not to the point where I can’t find a solution. So i’m looking forward to seeing what new things I will be learning about. ( I am hoping that there’s geometry :] )
